Canada-India Innovation Conference
About the conference
The Canada-India Centre for Excellence, in partnership with the High Commission of India and the Indo-Canada Ottawa Business Chamber (ICOBC), will be hosting the Canada-India Innovation Conference on September 23, 2016 at Carleton University.
The conference will bring together experts from academia, private sector and government to identify policy, technology, and business collaboration opportunities between the two countries, and how Canadians can build long-term relationships with their Indian counterparts.
Specifically, issues of collaboration around funding, resources, technology, knowledge, innovative processes, and human resource development will be discussed. Participants and panelists will be encouraged to provide “out of the box” solutions to overcome challenges and seize the opportunities.
Expert Panels
Three expert panels will provide insights into emerging opportunities in India in the areas of:
(1) Innovation Panel: Make in India & Digital India initiatives
(2) Infrastructure and Investment Panel: Smart Cities initiative, Water and Energy Infrastructure requirements
(3) Tourism/Media/Entertainment Panel: Media and tourism promotion opportunities
