A graduate of the University of Ottawa, Jagdeep completed his Masters in Computers Engineering (M.Eng.) and continued to work for Nortel Networks for several years before starting his own Real Estate holding company, Perhar Consultants, in 2005. He is currently a broker with Royal Lepage Team Realty and the President and CEO of Multicorp Realty Inc, a property management company managing a real estate portfolio of greater than $50M.
Jagdeep is actively involved in community service and currently serves on the boards of the Barrhaven Business Improvement Area (Vice-Chair) and the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation. He is also a member of the H.M. Tory Society of Carleton University.
Jagdeep is an active supporter of, and regular contributor to, the Ottawa Heart and Stroke foundation, Shelter foundation, the Ottawa Sikh Society, the Liver foundation, the Queensway Carleton Hospital and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). He is also a lifetime Patron of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
His community service and dedication to society has made him a proud recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal from the Governor General of Canada, the Caring Canadian medal by the Governor General of Canada, the Knight, Order of St. George medal and the Lifetime award of excellence from Royal Lepage.
Harpreet has been working with one of the major financial institutions within Canada-CIBC for last several years. He has held numerous positions within CIBC which included working as Business Advisor, Senior Business Advisor, Financial Advisor-Business Banking, Mortgage advisor and currently working as Area Sales Manager. Harpreet holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Control from Panjab University in India. He also completed few certification courses within Canada which include, CSC, CPH, PFP, WME. He holds FMA (Financial Management Advisor) and RRC (Registered Retirement Consultant) designations as well. Harpreet brings with him excellent leadership qualities, sound financial knowledge backed duly by both his education and experience.
Harpreet has been involved on volunteer basis with numerous community related events and causes for past many years.
Lakhwinder S. Saran
Lakhwinder is a versatile, deadline-driven and focused individual offering proficiency in small business development, operations, resource allocations, strategic planning, P&L and contract management. Prior to venturing into business sector, he has worked in telecommunication industry for 14 years. His technical experience includes software development/verification for large voice/data networks and IT solutions for small business. He has also served on Ottawa Sikh Society, a charitable organization’s Board of Directors as a treasurer. Lakhwinder holds undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Victoria, BC. Lakhwinder is also an avid golf player who enjoys the game rain or shine.
Public Relations and Corporate Secretary
Khatera is a senior policy analyst with the Office of the Comptroller General within the Treasury Board Secretariat where she contributes to the production of the Public Accounts of Canada. Prior to this, she has worked at the Senate of Canada for eight years, where she amassed inimitable experiences working on Parliament Hill, and KPMG LLP performing audit and consulting work. As a part-time speaker with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPAO), Khatera currently leads seminars in Public Sector Accounting Board standards for the professional development of members, students and the public.
With over six years’ experience in public practice and eight years in the public sector, her career includes diverse perspectives in the areas of assurance, policy, budgeting and financial reporting, consulting, and internal control evaluation. Throughout her career, she has been engaged in professional training and development, successful communication strategies, public speaking and change management. Khatera is a graduate of the University of Ottawa, and obtained her designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2006.
She also co-manages a small business, Auto-Know, with her husband and understands the challenges of the small business market in Ottawa. On a voluntary basis, Khatera has collaborated with several organizations and acted as the treasurer for the Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO). Her proudest accomplishment remains being the mother of three wonderful children.
Partnerships and Foreign Relations
Aman is an active member of the community and currently serves on the provincial board of the Technical Standards and Safety Authority as a member of the Audit, Finance and Risk committee. For over twenty five years, Mr. Hundal worked in both the private as well as public sector. Within the Federal Government he worked with, Industry Canada, Public Works (PWGSC), and recently retired from Canada Revenue Agency, as a senior Business Continuity Analyst.
In the private sector, Mr. Hundal was an Information Systems Professor at Algonquin College, and senior consultant with ADGA group, Synerlogic Consulting, and Anderson (Accenture) Consulting. On voluntary basis, he has worked as Chair, Communications, and Public Relations for the Ottawa Sikh Community, which represents 10,000, Sikh residents in the Ottawa Region, and as a Treasurer at Katimavik Elementary School. Mr. Hundal has also volunteered to be a facilitator between the Union (PIPSC) and Canada Revenue Agency, management for dispute resolution.
He holds a diploma in Computer Science, and Bachelors in Public Administration & Political Science.
Harleen currently works as a Project Officer with Technology and Information Management Directorate of Transport Canada. She has been working for the Federal Government for over 16 years with various roles; Technical Web Officer, Multimedia Publication Officer, and Project Management professional. Prior to moving to Canada in 1996, she worked as an Assistant Professor in Punjab Agricultural University. She holds a Masters Degree in Human Development and Child Psychology from the same university. She completed a certificate in Business Information Systems from Algonquin College in 1999. She has worked with several Indo-Canadian Organizations and charitable campaigns as a cultural coordinator and promoter of their networking events. Harleen also likes to volunteer her time assisting children and seniors with special needs.
Sanjay Bhasin, B.Eng., CIM®
Sanjay is the Founder & President of HighLifeWorth™ Wealth Management/HollisWealth. Sanjay holds Chartered Investment Manager designation and has been providing Portfolio Management & Wealth Management services to individuals and corporations for more than 16 years. Sanjay also holds Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the PEC University of Technology (India).
Sanjay has volunteered at various local charities and served on the ICOBC board from 2009 to 2012. He is also a proud recipient of The Ontario Volunteer Service Award.
Balwinderjit is a man of motivation, dedication, and results. He constantly and consistently strives for excellence in both his personal and professional life. A highly qualified individual with more than 25 years of experience in Aerospace and Telecommunication industry, Balwinderjit holds degrees in Masters of Engineering, Masters of Business Administration (Marketing), and Bachelor of Laws.
Balwinderjit is currently working as Account Executive, Business Development, Asia, Australia & New Zealand at MDS Aero Support Corporation which is a world class supplier of test facilities for aviation, marine and industrial gas turbine engines. He has volunteered as a guest lecturer at Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa and is an active participant in various business initiatives led by various Business Chambers. He is also a very active member of the local Ottawa community. He served the Ottawa Sikh Society Punjabi Language School for over 8 years including three years as the Chair of the school, and is an ongoing volunteer in the Ottawa Catholic School Board International Languages Program creating various confidence building opportunities for hundreds of kids.
Balwinderjit is also actively involved in several other community programs like Ottawa Food Bank, Flood Relief and Charity Fundraisers for multiple hospitals. Balwinderjit recently received Nepean’s Canada 150th Anniversary Medal for his outstanding contributions to the community.
Having affected people all around the community, of all ages, as well as the business he works in, he is an individual of enviable work ethic and skill.
